Specializing in the international sourcing, importing, and distribution of premium granite, marble, quartzite, quartz, porcelain, and other architectural surfaces, the company serves customers throughout the residential and commercial construction and design markets.

With an established presence in Tampa, Orlando, Naples, and Michigan, the company is continuing its growth with an exciting new expansion into Sarasota, Florida. This expansion reflects its continued investment in new markets, broader product offerings, and strengthening its distribution network.

As the business continues to grow, our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented International Purchasing Assistant to join its Tampa-based team.

Position Overview

The International Purchasing Assistant will play an important role in supporting the company's international purchasing and supply chain operations. This position involves coordinating overseas purchase orders, tracking international shipments, communicating with suppliers and freight partners, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the import process.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and capable of following orders from initial purchase through final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and follow up on international purchase orders.

• Communicate with overseas suppliers regarding product pricing, availability, order confirmations, and delivery schedules.

• Monitor international shipments and coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers.

• Review, organize, and maintain purchasing, shipping, and import documentation.

• Track purchase orders, shipment status, and estimated delivery dates, ensuring information is accurately maintained in company systems.

• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, and Accounting teams regarding incoming inventory, shipments, and order status.

• Assist in resolving purchasing discrepancies, invoice issues, shipping delays, and other order-related challenges.

• Maintain organized purchasing records and provide timely updates to internal teams.

• Support additional purchasing and logistics activities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, or international imports is preferred.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

• Ability to manage multiple purchase orders, shipments, and deadlines simultaneously.

• Comfortable communicating with international suppliers and external business partners.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

• Experience working with ERP, purchasing, or inventory management systems is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.

• A dependable, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and grow.

Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Location: Tampa, Florida (On-Site)

Employment: Full-Time
