Junior Data Engineer / Software Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC Experience: 0-2 Years Level: Entry Level / Junior Position Overview We are seeking a Junior Data Engineer / Software Engineer to support the development of data pipelines, applications, APIs, and cloud-based solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with foundational experience in Python, SQL, Java, and AWS who is looking to grow within an enterprise technology environment. Responsibilities Develop and support data pipelines, applications, and integration solutions. Write and troubleshoot Python, SQL, and Java code. Work with relational databases, including tables, joins, keys, indexes, views, and data models. Support ETL/ELT processes and data integration workflows. Develop and integrate REST APIs and web services. Work with GraphQL schemas, queries, mutations, and API integrations. Assist with cloud-based development using AWS . Perform testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews. Use Git/GitHub for source control and collaborative development. Partner with technical teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver reliable solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems , or related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered. 0-2 years of relevant data engineering, software engineering, application development, or database development experience. Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and Java . Foundational knowledge of AWS . Understanding of relational databases and ETL/ELT/data pipeline concepts . Familiarity with REST APIs and GraphQL . Familiarity with Git and GitHub . Understanding of software development practices including testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ideal Candidate A recent graduate or early-career engineer with hands-on experience through professional work, internships, co-ops, academic projects, or personal development projects involving Python + SQL + Java + AWS . #J-18808-Ljbffr Strategic Staffing Solutions
