POSITION: ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER

SUPERVISION:

Work under the supervision of the Supervisor of Plant Maintenance and Operations and Executive Director of Business Operations.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for receiving, processing, and delivering building supplies and food service materials to district locations and kitchens. This position supports warehouse operations by assisting with unloading shipments, stocking and rotating inventory, preparing orders for delivery, operating the inventory system and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role also includes operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, and assisting with minor facility maintenance tasks when needed. Working under the supervision of the Supervisor of Plant Maintenance and Operations and the Executive Director of Business Operations, the position requires strong communication, organizational skills, the ability to work in varying weather conditions, and a commitment to supporting district operations safely and efficiently.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be 18 years of age or over.
2. High school diploma or successful completion of GED required.
3. Must have proficient math, literacy and technology skills.
4. Have knowledge of basic truck driving skills and valid Ohio Operators Licenses.
5. Must be able to operate a pallet jack (tow motor) and all other Warehouse equipment.
6. Have the ability to lift 50 lbs. or more as needed.

ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. Able to work under all weather climates and conditions.
2. Successfully completes tasks in stressful situations and maintains a calm, respectful demeanor.
3. Works collaboratively with others demonstrating positive professional communication, support and cooperation with colleagues.
4. If necessary, be willing to work a flexible schedule so as to minimize the disruption to buildings and operations when performing certain preventive maintenance tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Accept, process and follow procedures for all orders and items that need packed and delivered.
2. Make deliveries of all building supplies and food service stock to all locations and kitchens. Be proactive and put away all kitchen items at the direction of the cafeteria manager or designee.
3. Assist in unloading deliveries, stock shelves, arrange product and rotate stock, as appropriate.
4. Assist in preparing and maintaining inventory of all warehouse materials.
5. Communicate with Warehouse Manager regarding incoming orders and delivery of stock to all necessary staff.
6. Be responsible for cleaning the warehouse and adjoining areas, ensuring all are well maintained and neat, including restroom facilities; assist with facility maintenance tasks, including painting and/or touch-up work at district locations as assigned.
7. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
8. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor of Plant Maintenance and Operations, Executive Director of Business Operations and/or designee.
