The conditions that are within the scope of service for the cardiac telemetry unit include, but are not limited to, the following:Stable Cardiac medical conditions such as:Cardiac AblationsLeft Atrial Appendage Occlusion (Watchman)Permanent Pacemaker PlacementChest PainCongestive Heart FailureVascular InterventionsPercutaneous Cardiac InterventionsStable Neurological Conditions such as:Stable StrokeSeizureWeaknessSyncopeIntegration with the Organization:The Cardiac Care Unit works closely with multidisciplinary teams across social services, case management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and dietary services. Patient care in the Cardiac Care Unit is grounded in evidence-based best practices to ensure quality care. The unit values shared governance, professional growth, quality care & patient satisfaction to support Baylor Scott & White's Mission.Requirements of the Ideal Candidate:· Graduate of an RN School of Nursing· ADN required; BSN preferred· Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas· Minimum 12 Months of RN experience, Acute Care or Hospital setting preferred· Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.QualificationsGrad of an Accredited ProgramSpecialized field of study should be nursing.RN license.Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
