About the Position

Job Title: RN - PCU/IMC Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS Description: This is a contract position for an RN in a Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Care Unit. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No on-call requirements are associated with this position. Candidates should be adept in managing patient care during critical recovery periods. The unit comprises 32 beds with a staff ratio that includes RNs, Patient Care Technicians, and Telemetry Monitor Technicians. Typical patient ratios are 1 nurse to 4 patients. Essential skills include pre and post-operative care, drip titration, and management of non-titration drips. Experience with specific equipment such as IV pumps, SCD pumps, and Bipap/Cpap is preferred. Candidates with a BSN or PCCN certification will be prioritized. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a willingness to grow and learn, along with a positive attitude. The dress code includes wearing navy scrubs.
