Our client, a growing leader in the manufactured home industry, is seeking a detail-oriented  Purchasing Agent to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment, has strong vendor management experience, and can stay organized under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full purchasing cycle, including sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials and parts
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery
• Monitor inventory levels closely and proactively reorder to prevent shortages or production delays
• Collaborate daily with production teams to forecast needs and ensure materials availability for ongoing projects
• Utilize inventory and purchasing software systems to track orders, stock levels, and vendor performance
• Handle vendor communications, negotiate pricing when applicable, and assist with vendor management processes
• Support vendor payment coordination and ensure accurate documentation and invoice reconciliation
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and reporting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain
• Experience in the  manufactured home, construction, or similar industry strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with vendor relations and vendor management
• Working knowledge of  inventory management and purchasing software systems
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
