• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories, lifestyle evaluations, nutritional status, and environmental factors.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions using a functional and integrative medicine approach.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating nutrition, supplements, lifestyle modifications, stress management, and conventional therapies as appropriate.
• Order, interpret, and explain advanced functional medicine labs and diagnostic tests.
• Provide patient education and coaching to support long-term health, disease prevention, and sustainable lifestyle changes.

Candidate requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Illinois.
• National NP certification (AANP or ANCC) required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner; experience in functional, integrative, or wellness-based medicine strongly preferred.
• Formal training or certification in Functional Medicine (e.g., IFM or equivalent) is highly desirable.
