Lead Tax Analyst

Tax Technology LeadLead implementation and optimization of enterprise tax engines, including OneSource Determination, Vertex, or AvalaraOwn end-to-end tax engine integration with ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle), ensuring accurate tax calculation and scalable system designDrive global tax transformation initiatives, including migration of tax engines from on-premise to cloud-based environmentsProvide leadership across multi-region tax projects spanning LATAM, EMEA, and APAC, ensuring alignment and consistency across implementationsServe as a subject matter expert (SME) for tax technology, advising on design decisions, architecture, and best practicesLead system configuration, testing strategy, and validation efforts, ensuring high-quality delivery and minimal defectsPartner with Tax, Finance, and IT leadership to define requirements, solution design, and roadmap prioritiesOversee integration efforts with adjacent platforms (e.g., procurement and finance systems) to ensure seamless tax processingSupport and guide junior resources, providing direction, mentorship, and quality oversightIdentify opportunities to optimize and standardize global tax processes and improve system efficiencyContribute to broader initiatives involving tax determination, compliance, and e-invoicing capabilitiesRequired Qualifications:6–8+ years of experience in tax technology, indirect tax systems, or ERP-tax integrationsProven experience leading or owning tax technology implementations, including configuration, integration, and deliveryDeep expertise with at least one major tax engine: OneSource Determination (preferred), Vertex or AvalaraStrong experience integrating tax engines with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) or Oracle (Cloud or R12)Demonstrated ability to lead complex, global initiatives across multiple regions and stakeholdersStrong understanding of indirect tax processes, tax calculation logic, and system architectureAbility to independently drive workstreams with minimal oversight and provide strategic inputPreferred Qualifications:Experience with broader tax platform capabilities (e.g., determination, compliance, e-invoicing)Exposure to cloud/SaaS-based tax or ERP ecosystemsExperience leading ERP transformations or migrations (e.g., SAP to Oracle)Familiarity with procurement or finance system integrationsExperience operating in large, global enterprise environmentsBackground supporting multi-region tax programs (LATAM, EMEA, APAC)
