HR Generalist – Hybrid Sedalia, MO, United States The Job: As an HR Generalist, you’ll be part of our Human Resources team working as a hybrid employee. Your responsibilities include: Manage HR programs, talent development, and policies/procedures for the business. Develop positive employee relations, effective communications, training & development, safety, benefits administration, recruitment & hiring. Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with stakeholders at all levels with the highest degree of integrity and discretion. Provide support to all HR functions such as onboarding, benefits, compensation, and training, and coordinate HR‑related projects. Represent employee advocacy and strong business partner relations. Develop an employee‑oriented culture that prioritizes safety, quality, continuous improvement, and productivity. Work with employees, supervisors, and managers to resolve employee relations issues. Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures. Reinforce and advocate for Open Door Policy across the leadership team. Prepare and maintain handbook on policies and procedures. Foster a consistent, clear, concise communication plan. Plan and coordinate recruitment strategies, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, diversity initiatives, background checks, drug testing, and manpower planning. Administer FMLA/Disability and Worker’s Compensation programs. Administer associate training and new hire orientation. Participate in working groups, councils, and committees. Serve as payroll specialist when needed. Other duties as assigned. The Person: You are an eager learner, results‑oriented, and thrive in an innovative environment. Your qualifications include: 1‑3 years of HR Generalist experience; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Thorough knowledge of HR/legal standards, programs, processes, and tools across recruitment, benefits, training, and payroll. Strong organizational, time‑management, and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, and manage ambiguity. Attention to detail. Advanced computer literacy, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word. Willingness to work additional hours for shift coverage and to relocate to other Stanley Black & Decker facilities as necessary.
