This is a high-impact, consultative role for a compensation professional who thrives in complexity, partners confidently with senior leaders, and brings both tactical precision and strategic thinking to compensation decisions and program design.What You'll DoAct as a trusted compensation advisor to HR Business Partners and leaders, including senior and executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment with AltaGas’ compensation philosophyLead job documentation, market pricing, and wage analysis, making recommendations ranging from individual job pricing to broader compensation program designAnalyze and recommend salary levels for internal and external offers, bringing context, clarity, and market insight to compensation decisionsDesign and maintain advanced compensation models and analytics to support decision‑making, workforce planning, and program evaluationIdentify recruiting and market compensation trends and advise on enterprise‑level implications and responsesSupport the implementation and maintenance of compensation systems, including testing, data audits, and ongoing governance (Workday experience is an asset)Educate and coach leaders and HR partners on compensation practices, philosophy, and decision frameworksApply employment and compensation‑related regulatory knowledge to all analyses and recommendationsWhat You Bring 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in compensation supporting broad‑based programsDemonstrated experience consulting directly with senior and executive leaders on compensation strategiesStrong knowledge of market‑based compensation practices and relevant employment legislationAdvanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, modeling); comfort working in highly detailed, data‑driven environmentsExperience with Workday compensation modules is a strong asset; energy sector and/or international compensation experience is a plusCCP, PHR, or SHRM‑CP designation preferredWhy JoinPlay a meaningful role in shaping and evolving compensation strategy during a period of enterprise transformation, with direct exposure to senior and executive leadershipPartner closely with HR and the business as a trusted advisor, applying advanced analytics and market insight to complex, real‑world compensation decisionsJoin a dynamic energy organization where scale, complexity, and transformation create ongoing opportunities to learn, design, and drive modern compensation programsWe offer a competitive salary range of $95,400 - $138,075 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
