Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for residents, including functional capacity, ADLs, mobility, and participation in daily activities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and progression criteria.
- Deliver therapy sessions and optimize therapy intensity to support safe, timely functional gains.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, social work) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Document progress notes, treatment plans, and therapy outcomes in the electronic health record; ensure accurate coding and timely billing entries.
- Educate residents and families on home programs, safety strategies, and caregiver training to support continuity of care after discharge.

Requirements
- Active Rhode Island occupational therapy license or eligibility to practice in Rhode Island (required)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing/long-term care settings (preferred)
- Ability to work a 5x8 day schedule with guaranteed 35 hours per week (required)
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills (required)
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and work on-site in a long-term care setting (travel required)
