Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This position involves providing advanced respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients in a hospital setting, including airway management, mechanical ventilator management, and advanced procedures such as ECMO. The role requires independent functioning and serving as a resource to other staff members, with opportunities to work in NICU and PICU environments.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours shift time, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required qualifications include: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC); at least two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; abilities to read, analyze, and interpret clinical and technical information; documentation skills; and effective communication skills.
• Preferred qualifications are not specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional information: Candidates should have experience providing respiratory care in pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, be familiar with airway management, ventilator management, ECMO procedures, and advanced respiratory interventions. The role involves working with NICU and PICU populations, performing pulmonary function testing, tracheostomy care, endotracheal intubations, and other advanced procedures per protocol. Candidates may be required to be on-call during days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
