Your New Role

As the Wet Utilities Estimator, you will lead the estimating process for utility infrastructure projects including water, wastewater, storm sewer, and related underground utility work. You will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, developing accurate cost estimates, evaluating bid opportunities, and supporting project teams from preconstruction through project handoff.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 5+ years of estimating experience in wet utilities, underground utilities, site development, or heavy civil construction.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid documents.
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing detailed cost estimates.
• Knowledge of water, wastewater, storm sewer, and utility installation methods.
• Ability to identify constructability issues, prepare RFIs, and manage vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Experience collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and company leadership on bid strategy and workload planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for wet utility projects.
• Review plans, specifications, schedules, and bid documents.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and detailed cost analyses.
• Coordinate vendor and supplier pricing.
• Evaluate bid opportunities and participate in bid/no-bid decisions.
• Manage proposal submissions and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Support project handoff and collaborate with operations teams on project startup.
