Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant Hospitalist
She Recruits is partnering with a respected South Texas community hospital to recruit a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a structured overnight hospitalist role.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced inpatient APP who prefers consistent night coverage with a condensed four-day workweek.
Compensation
$115 per hour 40 hours per week Structured night coverage model.
Schedule
Monday Thursday 10:00 PM 6:00 AM 4-night workweek Overnight hospitalist coverage Predictable schedule with built-in work/life balance across a long weekend stretch.
Clinical Environment
47-bed acute care hospital 12-bed Emergency Department + 4-bed Express Care (APP staffed) Level IV Trauma designation ~5,000 annual hospitalist encounters ~14 visits per day 5% admission rate from ED (high transfer-out model) EMR: Meditech Expanse Patient satisfaction tracked via Press Ganey
Open ICU (no intensivist onsite) 24/7 Teleneurology for ED stroke support No procedures required High transfer-out rate reduces high-acuity burden Specialty gaps (transfers when needed): No General Surgery No Interventional Cardiology No OB/GYN No Urology No Nephrology This is a stabilizing, admit-and-manage environment with strong regional transfer support.
Requirements
Licensed NP or PA Inpatient/Hospitalist experience preferred ACLS & BLS required Texas license or eligibility
