• Ensure that needed plans, blueprints, material, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
• Check work in progress and when finished, checks for compliance with supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines.
• Work along with other workers, setting the pace for a wide range of duties, operates a variety of automotive and materials handling equipment while loading, unloading, and delivering equipment and supplies to specified destinations.
• Provide information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall work operations and problems.
• Operate all classes and types of motor vehicles including passenger cars, trucks of all sizes and capacities, and tractor trailers.
• Advise crane operator of clearances between the load and other objects and of possible hazardous conditions observed from the ground level by using a variety of hand signals peculiar to the trade.
