Role Description The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing tax engagements, advising clients on tax strategies, preparing and reviewing tax returns, mentoring staff, and serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and individuals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex tax issues, building lasting client relationships, and helping clients make proactive decisions throughout the year—not simply preparing returns during tax season. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA, EA, or actively pursuing certification. 3–5+ years of public accounting tax experience. Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state taxation. Experience reviewing tax returns. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently. Experience advising business owners. Knowledge of tax planning strategies. Experience with QuickBooks Online. Experience with UltraTax CS or similar tax software.
