Job Description Job Description Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them materials, suctioning, and providing other necessary support - Take digital dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models and fabricating temporary crowns - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories - Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain an aseptic technique throughout all procedures - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Requirements: - Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or completion of a dental assisting program - Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental assisting systems - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism - Hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:35 am-5 pm with lunch from 12 pm-1 pm We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
