Position Design‑Build Transportation Design Manager – Remote/Hybrid (Denver, CO) – Full‑time Responsibilities Overall coordination and delivery of design on large complex alternative delivery projects, including Design‑Build and PPP projects. Maintain diverse relationships with contractors, owner representatives, and project stakeholders. Plan, direct, and coordinate multi‑disciplinary staff in a high‑intensity environment. Work with project controls and scheduling staff to manage project timing, analyze earned value and schedule performance, and collaborate with interfaces to achieve project goals. Ensure overall quality and coordination of work, client interface, staff utilization, contract management, billing collection, and control of project profitability. Establish work plans and multi‑disciplinary staffing for each phase of the project, arranging recruitment or assignment of personnel. Direct and coordinate activities of project engineers, engineers, and technicians to maintain schedule and budget. Participate in interviews and presentations to support the growth of the Design‑Build practice nationally. Maintain positive relationships with current and past clients. Represent Jacobs at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews related to assigned projects. Develop and review financial and project delivery schedules for design and construction across disciplines. Identify causes for revisions to projects and determine billability to the client. Ensure project team compliance with contract agreements and implement cost controls within budget restraints. Lead the interpretation, organization, execution, and coordination of large‑scope and complex projects. Assist Group Manager in new‑business development and marketing to potential and existing clients. Collaborate with subgroups and interact with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, other consultants, and professional organizations. Attend meetings, make presentations, and respond to questions. Work closely with staff in other departments and offices. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 15 years’ experience in complex multi‑discipline highway project design management, including one or more Design‑Build and/or PPP projects as Design Manager for transportation projects. Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.). Salary Base salary range: $117,300.00 – $225,000.00. Salary is based on work location, experience and relevant qualifications.
