Make a real difference supporting young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant elementary school setting near Horseheads, NY. This contract opportunity is set in a welcoming, onsite environment, working closely with students to help them reach their communication milestones. You’ll enjoy a consistent weekday schedule from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday, offering a great work-life balance while engaging in meaningful school-based services.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility
- Open to both Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and those with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience working with elementary-age children in a school setting is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Passion for fostering student growth and supporting diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech-language needs
- Deliver therapy sessions individually and in small groups, targeting articulation, fluency, receptive and expressive language, and social communication
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to provide comprehensive and integrated support
- Maintain accurate documentation and attend required meetings
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging school culture
