This role is responsible for building high-precision master models, tooling, and prototype components used in automotive and aerospace manufacturing. This is a hands-on position combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced CAD/CAM technology (VISI) to support rapid prototyping and low-volume production./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliInterpret complex engineering blueprints to create accurate models and tooling/liliUtilize VISI CAD/CAM software for modeling and CNC programming (3-axis 5-axis)/liliBuild master patterns, core boxes, and tooling for stamping and injection molding/liliDevelop prototype and low-volume production models using various materials/li/ulh3Advanced Tooling Specialty Builds/h3ulliComposite layups and laminating for master models/liliCreate tooling for vacuum forming, including venting strategies/liliIntegrate 3D-printed components into tooling and casting processes/liliBuild high-quality show display models for trade shows and executive presentations/li/ulh3Mill Room Operations/h3ulliSafely operate equipment including band saws, table saws, drill presses, and sanders/liliPrepare raw materials and refine finished patterns to precise tolerances/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliCompletion of a Patternmaking Apprenticeship OR degree in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing/liliMinimum 5+ years of experience in pattern making within automotive or aerospace manufacturing/liliStrong background in prototype-to-production builds and display models/liliProficiency with VISI CAD/CAM (modeling and CNC programming preferred)/liliExpertise in composites, thermoforming plastics, and laminating resins/liliAbility to hold tight tolerances (0.005 or better)/liliExperience with vacuum forming and composite lay-ups/liliBasic blueprint reading and GDT knowledge/liliMust have personal tools required to perform the job/li/ulh3What Were Looking For/h3ulliStrong attention to detail and craftsmanship/liliAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects/liliReliable, team-oriented, and committed to quality/liliWillingness to work overtime and weekends as needed/li/ulpShift: 1st ShiftPay: $17 and up, depending on experience/ppAbout Cardinal Staffing: At Cardinal Staffing, a Surestaff Company, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
