Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.Basic QualificationsBachelors or higher degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or combination of experience/educationMechanical design experience that includes the interpretation of engineering design drawings.Experience with engineering CAD tools (Creo, Solid Works, I-DEAS, etc.) and model based product definition.Understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis.Candidate must have good oral, written, and presentation communication skills.Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.Desired SkillsExperience with agile / go fast program executionSelf starter with outside the box thinkingAbility and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently.Experience with application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5.Experience with Engineering Data Product release process within the Engineering Product Data Management (EPDM) system.Knowledge of LM Space command media.Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical systems.Active DoD Secret security clearanceProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $ - $ At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
