Assistant Branch Manager

Overview Ensures the branch meets or exceeds operations standards, oversees audits, monitors sales and service goals, and coaches team members to deepen customer relationships using Client and Business Financial Review. Acts as backup to personal banking team for new accounts and loan requests, and leads, trains, and coaches tellers. Manages technical branch tasks such as opening and closing, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, collections, stop payments, and controls. Responsibilities Maintain branch operations standards and conduct satisfactory audits. Monitor sales and service goals; coach team members to enhance customer relationships. Develop and sustain strong, long‑term relationships with consumers and businesses, providing proactive solutions aligned with the bank’s client service standards. Act as backup to personal banking team for new account openings, loan requests, and credit information gathering. Manage, train, and coach tellers; collaborate with the Branch Manager to oversee personal bankers when required. Process and oversee technical tasks such as branch opening/closing, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, collections, stop payments, and monitoring of branch controls. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Vocational, or Technical Degree in banking, business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. At least 2years of retail banking experience required. At least 1year of management or supervisory experience preferred. At least 1year of consumer and small business lending origination experience preferred. Customer service background in retail or banking. Demonstrated ability to grow sales through long‑lasting, knowledge‑based client relationships. Demonstrated leadership skills in handling difficult customer and associate conversations with professionalism and courtesy. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi‑task effectively. Proficient use of spreadsheets and banking computer systems, and ability to operate office equipment for repetitive tasks such as cash handling, typing, and document processing. Must serve as a Bank MLO, authorized to take mortgage loan applications, arrange mortgages, and assist consumers with open‑end mortgage products; must register under the SAFE Act. This position is not authorized for closed‑end MLO activities. Compensation & Incentives The pay range for this role is \$23.00 to \$28.00 per hour. The selected candidate’s pay rate will be determined by job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, details of which will be disclosed during the recruitment process. Location Primary Location: 118 W 5th Ave, 1st Floor, Ellensburg, WA 98926. Full onsite work required at the posted location.
