Other responsibilities support the overall flow of the home and are handled as time allows or on an as-needed basis. We care more about the right things getting done – not checking all the boxes.Weekly Priorities:Childcare and After-School Support School pickup and drop-off as neededAfter-school supervision on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoonsBackpack, clothing, and snack preparationKid-related errands, including timely prescription pickupsManage school lunch prep: help kids pack the night before, track lunchboxes and ice packsMeal Support Weekly bulk cooking block of approximately 5 hours: preparing dinners and lunches for the full week for a family of six (family will provide meal plans and recipes)Hand-washing good cookwarePrepping healthy snacks: cut fruit and vegetables, etc.Kitchen clean-up and maintenance following cooking sessionsHousehold Organization & Maintenance Daily resets and preparing the home before the cleaning team arrives (high priority)Light tidying: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas, kitchen countersCreating and maintaining household organization systems (you're a builder, not just a maintainer)Seasonal clothing, décor, and sports gear swapsDonation coordination and drop-offsPacking and unpacking for family travelReplacing batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectorsReordering and replacing water filters for the fridge and reverse osmosis unit as neededOutdoor upkeep: clearing yard toys before lawn service, sweeping the porch, and managing patio cushions seasonallyInventory & Errands Restocking pantry, fridge, and household supplies; maintaining a shared document to avoid double-orderingManaging household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Target, Costco)Returns, dry cleaning, and gift shopping with direction providedMail and package handling: bringing in, opening, and sortingUnpacking and putting away monthly Thrive Market and meat delivery orders; moving frozen meat to the fridge two days before cooking dayThose core daily and weekly responsibilities come first, but once handled, we welcome support in other areas based on time, energy, and household needs that week, including:Deep Cleaning & Special ProjectsQuarterly deep resets of kids' roomsBasement reorganization approximately every two months (priority project)Refreshing the mudroom, entryway, and sports storage areasCoordinating deep cleaning tasks (fridge, oven, baseboards) in conjunction with the cleaning teamLaundry & Linen CareManaging kids on their designated laundry day, including individual sheets and pillowcasesIroning, steaming, and care for special garmentsRotating family room blankets and parents' bedding and towels on a regular scheduleKeeping the laundry area tidy and well-stockedVendor & Property OversightIf something needs repair, research options and present them to the family for the final decisionSeasonal outdoor maintenance: back patio furniture, porch, and outdoor spacesAdministrative & Family Assistant SupportMaintaining the shared family Google CalendarUpdating the kitchen dry-erase calendarScheduling kids' and parents' appointments (medical, personal, and other)Event and holiday prep on an as-needed basisHow to Apply:
