Store Sales Manager

Store Manager – Mattress Firm This role leads the store’s vision and initiatives, achieves sales performance goals, and holds associates accountable for executing merchandising and customer experience across multiple store units. Responsibilities Leadership & Coaching – Develop and coach associates to improve skills and performance; foster a motivated team dedicated to success. New Hire Onboarding & Team Building – Conduct one‑on‑one meetings, 30‑60‑90 day check‑ins, and maintain a comprehensive team ‘bio book’ that evolves with the team. Workforce Management – Create staffing schedules, reconcile punches, enforce company policies and appearance standards, and ensure compliance with state regulations. Talent Development – Provide technical and product knowledge to associates; analyze skill gaps and coach accordingly. Business Operations & Financials – Achieve or exceed individual store financial targets; execute merchandising, marketing, POP, and inventory procedures; handle cash, payment, and invoicing; manage opening and closing procedures. Omni‑Channel & Marketing Support – Partner with marketing to implement and monitor the store’s social media strategy and support the omni‑channel experience. Strategic Planning – Analyze company reporting to determine appropriate staffing levels; collaborate with leadership on staffing adjustments; evaluate competition and develop strategy to counter. Physical & Operational Demands – Stand or sit for 8+ hours at a time; lift, push or pull 50+ pounds. Compensation Competitive pay range of $70,000 – $86,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Base pay plus uncapped commission, and potential leadership bonuses at the discretion of the Company.
