Job Description

Servers are responsible for exceeding the expectations of our guests by providing warm, genuine, and hospitable service. Food and beverage knowledge, along with teamwork, attention to detail, and a passionate attitude are essential for success in this position.

Essential Functions

• Provide genuine, warm, and efficient service to a multi-table section including but not limited to following all steps of service and assisting any additional service functions
• Accurately record and account for guests’ orders, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts in a fashion compliant with all policies
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
• Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
• Able to move and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Anticipate guests’ needs to ensure the overall experience exceeds expectations
• Greet guests with a warm, genuine, and authentic disposition
• Understand and respond knowledgeably to questions about the restaurant and menu
• Use sales techniques to guide the guest experience
• Follow all steps of service
• Understand and follow the food allergy procedure
• Proficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including the POS system
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
• Uphold all state/local laws and regulations regarding alcohol beverage service
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Get along well with others and be a team player
• Other duties will be assigned as needed
