Senior Accountant

A large-scale, nationally recognized organization is hiring a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organization and strong exposure to technical accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement.

The Opportunity

This position will support the company's financial reporting and accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, month-end close activities, technical accounting research, debt accounting, and audit support. The role offers exposure to complex accounting matters, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to process improvements within a well-controlled reporting environment.

What You'll Do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting schedules and supporting documentation
• Assist with financial statement preparation, footnotes, disclosures, and reporting tie-outs
• Prepare complex journal entries, account analyses, and variance explanations
• Support technical accounting research and draft accounting memos for management review
• Assist with debt accounting, including debt schedules, interest calculations, and financing-related reports
• Coordinate audit requests and prepare supporting documentation for external audit
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and reporting procedures
• Maintain reporting documentation, calendars, and process checklists
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and other departments to support reporting accuracy
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and efficiency

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or actively pursuing
• 3 years of public accounting experience within audit or assurance
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail and documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
