Attorney (Independent Contractor) - Juvenile Offender Panel (Shawnee County) The 3rd Judicial District (Shawnee County) is accepting applications for a Contract Attorney position to represent juvenile offenders. Responsibilities for this position involve representation of juvenile offenders who have cases pending in Shawnee County. This appointment is made by Chief Judge Steven R. Ebberts. Representation continues for the duration of the cause of action. For this position, regular dockets are involved, as well as some special settings. Deadline to apply for this contract attorney position is open until filled . Start date is January 1, 2026 . The Juvenile Offender Panel contract attorney position pays $4,200 per month. The contract is between the attorney, as an Independent Contractor with Shawnee County on behalf of the Third Judicial District, and Chief Judge as the Supervisor. There are no benefits in addition to the base contract amount. Bilingual communication skills are preferred but not required.
