Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) is needed for the 2026-2027 academic year, bringing specialized expertise to a diverse caseload across multiple school locations.

In this full-time, onsite role, you’ll collaborate with a committed team to deliver direct and consultative support for approximately 8-10 students, primarily in elementary grades, with the possibility of assignments at the middle and high school levels. The number of students may fluctuate as new qualifications arise. Your impact will be felt through instructional services, participation in IEP meetings, and thoughtful communication with educators and families.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active TVI (Teacher for the Visually Impaired) certification required
  • Proven experience working with students who have visual impairments
  • Strong understanding of developing and delivering individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Flexibility to provide direct and indirect support across multiple campuses

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and consultative services to students in alignment with their IEPs
  • Attend IEP and related meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate records, service logs, and documentation of service delivery
  • Communicate regularly with staff, families, and other service providers to support student progress
  • Adapt teaching resources and strategies to meet unique student needs
