Job Opportunity

Position Overview

This position is for a medical office role requiring experience in administrative tasks within a healthcare setting. The role is a Day 5x8-Hour shift, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Perform patient-related tasks including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical history, medications, and allergies.
Manage scheduling of appointments and follow-up phone calls.
Prepare charts and handle various administrative duties including insurance verification and authorization forms.
Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests.
Order and stock supplies as necessary.
Provide telephonic triage support when needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of medical office experience.
At least one (1) year of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically with the Epic charting system.
Familiarity with medical insurance policies and the authorization process is preferred.
Relevant certifications: BLS, CMA, NCCT, and RMA.

Unit and Patient Care Details

Patient Age Group: Primarily adults.
Daily Census: As required.

Additional Information

Travel may be required within the facility or to affiliated locations.
Submitting candidates must have a finalized Requested Time Off (RTO) schedule.
Block scheduling is not accommodated.
Former employees of the health system must wait six months after termination to apply for a new position.

Start and Scheduling Preferences

Preferred start date for candidates is generally within 3 to 4 weeks from the current date.
