Medical Laboratory Technician Hematology

Schedule: Nights, 7 on 7 off, 1830-0630 rotation, starting Thursday night. Training will be on day shift from 0600-1430 for 2-3 weeks.

Assignment Details: Full-time position.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree for grandfathered personnel
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with a strong background in blood bank
• CLS or MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent required
• New MT graduates must pass the certification exam within 6 months of employment start date

Responsibilities:

• Collects, processes, and receives specimens to be analyzed in various laboratory departments
• Evaluates and solves problems related to the collection and processing of biological specimens
• Participates in evaluating new laboratory techniques and procedures
• Performs complex laboratory procedures and analyzes quality control data
• Answers inquiries regarding test results and methodology
• Maintains self-competency in laboratory skills
