Civil Defense Litigation Attorney (Hybrid) — Long Beach, CA or Seattle, WA

A growing litigation team is seeking a Civil Defense Attorney to join its practice in either Long Beach, California or Seattle, Washington. This is a hybrid opportunity offering meaningful case responsibility, strong mentorship, and exposure to sophisticated litigation matters across a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of civil defense litigation matters from start to finish
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
• Conduct depositions, attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate risk exposure
• Work closely with partners, clients, and experts throughout all phases of litigation
• Manage deadlines and maintain strong client communication

Qualifications

• Active bar license in California or Washington
• 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience preferred
• Experience with motion practice, depositions, and case management
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Ability to independently manage cases while collaborating with team members

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $180,000 annually . Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
