Onward Healing Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote team. Work Environment\nThis is a remote position that offers flexibility while allowing you to maintain a vital connection with your clients. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, utilizing teletherapy platforms to facilitate sessions effectively. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and interact with community resources, all while adhering to ethical standards and best practices in mental health care.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health to inform the development of individualized treatment plans that address their specific needs. \n
- Offer therapeutic services to a variety of clients, employing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy. \n
- Work closely with clients to set realistic mental health goals and regularly review progress towards achieving these objectives. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards of practice. \n
- Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance service delivery and address any client-related challenges collaboratively. \n
Our clinic serves a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. You will have the opportunity to work with clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. Understanding their unique perspectives helps build rapport and trust—crucial elements for effective therapeutic outcomes.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Must possess a master's degree or higher in counseling, social work, or a related field. \n
- Active LMHC license in the state of Vermont is required. \n
- Proven experience working with clients from various backgrounds is essential. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues. \n
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment. \n

- At least two years of post-licensure counseling experience, particularly in a community health setting. \n
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy methodologies is preferred. \n
- Additional certifications in specific therapeutic modalities or areas of expertise, such as trauma-informed care, are a plus. \n
