Job Description The Sous Chef plays a crucial role in a private Yacht Club’s kitchen, leading a medium-sized team to deliver exceptional dining experiences across multiple outlets. With over 5 years of culinary experience, the candidate must excel in staff training, kitchen management, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency. The Sous Chef ensures flawless execution of the Executive Chef’s menus while overseeing daily kitchen operations using commercial kitchen software. Responsibilities Lead and support kitchen teams of 11-20 members across various dining outlets Ensure consistent execution of all menu items exactly as specified Oversee daily kitchen operations including quality control and inventory management Train, motivate, and mentor culinary staff for improved performance Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards Manage staff supervision and foster clear communication throughout the kitchen Utilize commercial kitchen software for operational oversight Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years culinary experience in a similar sous chef role Proven experience in staff training and team leadership Strong skills in kitchen management and operational oversight Exceptional communication abilities Ability to maintain quality and consistency at all times Location Marina Del Rey Company Description The Next Idea Group (TNI Group) is a multidisciplinary architecture, interior design and development firm based in Los Angeles, working on projects throughout the United States and internationally.
