Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist to provide evaluation and treatment services to patients across a variety of clinical settings. The Physical Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, help patients improve mobility and function, and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
Evaluate patients' physical abilities, mobility, strength, balance, and functional limitations.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician recommendations.
Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and other appropriate interventions.
Help patients improve strength, mobility, coordination, flexibility, and independence.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge information accurately.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
Recommend appropriate assistive devices and provide training when needed.
Follow facility policies, patient-safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
Participate in discharge planning and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.

Depending on the assignment, Travel Physical Therapists may work in:

Acute care hospitals
Outpatient clinics
Inpatient rehabilitation
Skilled nursing facilities (SNF)
Home health
Long-term care facilities
Pediatric settings
Orthopedic rehabilitation
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of assignment.
BLS certification may be required depending on the facility.
Previous clinical experience appropriate to the assignment.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, rehabilitation techniques, and patient safety.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong documentation and organizational skills.
