Behavioral Health Counselor – Martin County (Bilingual Spanish)

We are seeking a bilingual English/Spanish, master's-level counselor with a background in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, applied behavioral analysis, or a related helping field. This is an excellent opportunity for a counselor who enjoys working directly with families and wants to make a difference through evidence-based parenting and behavioral health services.

Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required. Florida clinical licensure or Registered Intern status is not required.

As CFS expands services into Martin County, our newest Behavioral Health Counselor will help strengthen our community presence while providing services through the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). This evidence-based program supports caregivers of children and adolescents ages 0–18 in developing effective parenting strategies, strengthening family relationships, and addressing behavioral and emotional challenges.

About the Position

The Behavioral Health Counselor provides parenting education, behavioral health support, and family-focused services in homes, offices, community settings, and via telehealth throughout Martin County.

As a counselor on our Triple P team, you will work collaboratively with caregivers to identify challenges, develop practical parenting strategies, and strengthen family relationships. The counselor will also maintain program documentation, participate in community outreach and presentations, and develop relationships with local organizations and referral partners.

This Monday–Friday position offers the opportunity to work independently while remaining connected to a supportive, collaborative team of behavioral health professionals.

Qualifications

Our ideal Behavioral Health Counselor will have:

A master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related helping field.

Required bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Experience working with children, adolescents, caregivers, or families is preferred.

Strong communication, community outreach, and relationship-building skills.

The ability to work independently and travel throughout Martin County.

A willingness to complete employer-funded Triple P training and accreditation.

Previous Triple P experience is an asset but is not required. Florida clinical licensure and Registered Intern status are not required for this counselor position.
