Description Conduct evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and elderly demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language capabilities, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing proficiency. Work together with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to design integrated care strategies. Provide guidance and support to patients and families to enhance progress beyond clinical engagements. Assist with occasional evaluations and interventions pertaining to inpatient speech therapy, ensuring seamless continuity of care along the treatment pathway. Maintain precise and timely records in compliance with organizational and government regulations. Keep abreast of advancements in the industry by engaging in ongoing education and collaborating with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Skills Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices for all age groups, with a deeper understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary health teams.
