The Opportunity

A modern outpatient orthopedic clinic in Grain Valley, MO is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist to join its clinical team. This position offers the chance to work with a varied patient population, primarily treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

The role is centered on practical patient care: evaluating movement and function, building treatment plans, guiding therapy sessions, educating patients, and tracking progress from the first visit through discharge. Patients range from 11 to 90 years old , providing a broad mix of needs and recovery goals.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. Experienced Physical Therapists may qualify for the higher salary range based on years of experience.

Compensation Details

New Graduate Physical Therapist: $65,000–$70,000 per year

Experienced Physical Therapist: $80,000–$90,000 per year

Schedule Preference

The clinic would strongly prefer one of the following schedule options:

Preferred Option: Four 10-Hour Days

• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
• Tuesday off each week

Alternative Option: Monday–Friday Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Clinic Details

• Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
• Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits per week
• EMR System: WebPT
• Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
• Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants
• Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
• Insurance Accepted: BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare, TRICARE, Humana, and Aetna

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assess strength, mobility, pain, balance, range of motion, and functional limitations
• Develop plans of care based on patient goals, clinical findings, and diagnosis
• Treat orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions through skilled physical therapy services
• Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, mobility work, and functional rehabilitation
• Teach patients home programs, safe activity progression, and recovery strategies
• Monitor patient outcomes and make treatment updates when needed
• Document evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, and discharge plans in WebPT
• Collaborate with PTAs and other clinical team members to support patient care

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
• Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain Missouri licensure
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work professionally with patients across a broad age range
