Implementation Manager

San Francisco, CA | Hybrid, 3–4 days per week in office The Role We’re working with a fast-growing seed-stage AI startup transforming how accounting firms manage bookkeeping and tax workflows. Following rapid customer growth, they’re looking for a hands-on Implementation Manager to own customer implementations and help build the processes needed to scale. You’ll work directly with accounting firms from initial discovery through configuration, onboarding and successful launch. This is a hands‑on role: you’ll understand customer workflows, configure the product around their requirements, troubleshoot implementation issues, train users and work closely with Product and Engineering to resolve technical problems. This is an early-stage environment without a large implementation organisation or established playbook. You’ll be expected to independently drive implementations forward, solve problems and create repeatable processes from scratch. We’re particularly interested in people who have implemented accounting, ERP, bookkeeping, tax or closely related financial software. Own customer implementations from discovery and requirements gathering through configuration and go-live Understand customers’ accounting and operational workflows and translate them into effective product configurations Configure software and troubleshoot technical, workflow and data issues during implementation Manage multiple customer implementations, milestones, risks and launch timelines Train customers on the product and new software workflows Work directly with Product and Engineering to diagnose and resolve implementation issues Build scalable implementation processes, documentation and playbooks from scratch Identify recurring implementation challenges and improve the customer journey Support customers post-launch to ensure successful adoption and value Help shape the implementation function as the company scales What We’re Looking For Hands‑on experience independently delivering B2B SaaS implementations through successful launch or go-live Experience personally configuring software and troubleshooting technical implementation issues Experience implementing accounting, ERP, bookkeeping, tax or closely related financial software Strong customer-facing skills and experience owning implementation relationships directly Experience gathering requirements and translating customer workflows into software configurations Evidence of delivering successful implementation outcomes, not simply coordinating projects Experience building or significantly improving repeatable onboarding or implementation processes Comfortable working hands‑on in an early‑stage startup environment with limited existing structure Experience training customers or end users on new software and workflows Bachelor’s degree or higher Hybrid working, 3–4 days per week in the San Francisco office High ownership and direct exposure to the founding team #J-18808-Ljbffr OJ Digital
