Inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Job in Southeastern MA-3 Shifts Weekly

A well-established cardiology practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a team of Board-Certified Cardiologists providing inpatient cardiovascular care at a leading regional hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. Position Overview The NP will serve as a member of the inpatient cardiology rounding team and will work under the supervision of a cardiologist to provide comprehensive care for hospitalized cardiac patients. Key Responsibilities Evaluate new inpatient cardiology consultations Provide follow-up care for hospitalized cardiac patients Manage care for interventional cardiology patients before and after procedures Coordinate inpatient and post-discharge care plans Communicate effectively with Hospitalists, Primary Care Providers, and other members of the healthcare team Participate in the supervision of cardiac stress testing (training available if needed) Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary care environment Position Notes No participation in the acute STEMI emergency team No cath lab scrubbing responsibilities Hospital-based role focused on inpatient cardiology care Schedule Three 10-hour weekday shifts Rotating weekend daytime coverage approximately every fourth weekend Excellent work-life balance with a predictable schedule Qualifications Required Current Nurse Practitioner license in Massachusetts Knowledge of cardiac diagnoses, procedures, and medications Prior inpatient cardiology experience Nurse Practitioner experience is preferred but will consider a new graduate with a cardiology background.
