Job Title Travel RN – Medical Surgical (3x12's – Nights) Location Indianapolis, IN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Shifts per Week | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating weekends (every 3rd) and rotating holidays | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed post-surgical unit serving post-op patients from general and bariatric surgery, as well as overflow medical patients Maintain a 1:5 patient ratio, demonstrating strong time management and prioritization skills Utilize Epic EMR and Pyxis for documentation and medication management Manage and monitor surgical drains and post-operative patient needs Float to similar Med/Surg units based on rotation and census needs Complete assigned education modules prior to reporting to the floor on the first day Required Qualifications Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Indiana BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience Proficiency with Epic EMR Experience with surgical drains Strong teamwork, flexibility, and time management skills Preferred Experience / Skills Prior post-surgical or Med/Surg nursing experience Familiarity with bariatric surgery patient populations Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems Demonstrated ability to serve as a strong patient advocate in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us Expected 36 hours per week with no on-call requirements, offering a predictable and stable travel assignment 13-week contract opportunity on an established post-surgical unit with a collaborative, team-oriented culture Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 793921.
