Commercial Property Accountant Location: Cincinnati, OH Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $30-$38.50 Competitive Salary (Based on Experience) Industry: Commercial Real Estate / Property Management Job Description Precision Staffing is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Accountant for an opportunity with a growing commercial property management company in Cincinnati, OH.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of accounting experience in commercial real estate or property management, strong financial reporting skills, and experience with property management accounting software.

This position is responsible for managing financial operations across commercial properties, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining accounting records, and supporting property owners and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned commercial properties, including month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, including tenant billing, rent collections, and vendor payments.
• Maintain lease information, recurring charges, rent escalations, and tenant billing records.
• Complete bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and reconcile Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges, property taxes, and insurance expenses.
• Assist with annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Monitor property cash flow and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and accounting policies.
• Assist with audits, tax reporting, and owner financial distributions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience in commercial real estate or property management.
• Experience managing accounting for multiple properties or entities preferred.
• Experience with Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or similar property management accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, lease accounting, and CAM reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, maintain accuracy, and work independently.
