Key Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to skilled nursing facility residents to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence
• Document patient progress accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and progress
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and safe functional techniques

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Ohio
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting
• Familiarity with Medicare documentation requirements and skilled nursing regulations
• Experience with a diverse geriatric patient population
