Dining Room Attendant

Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center is hiring a full and part time Dining Room Attendant for the Day and Evening shifts, including weekends and holidays. Benefits 401(k) Paid time off Paid holidays Tuition reimbursement Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Supplemental benefit programs Responsibilities and Job Duties Wash dishes, tableware, glasses, and other kitchen and dining room equipment and assure they are stored in an orderly fashion. Assure work is performed in accordance with all federal, state, and facility regulations regarding sanitation and infection control. Prepare and serve coffee, tea, juice, etc. as required. Wash all pots, pans and cooking utensils used to prepare a meal as required. Assist in cleaning work areas, dining room floor, tables and chairs after each meal and occasionally after special events; sweep and mop floor at end of shift. Be responsible for between‑meal nourishments as defined by supervisor. Serve meals to residents in dining area; assist with pouring beverages at each meal. Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, food storage area, and supply areas per facility schedule. Remove garbage from kitchen and clean trash containers. Perform duties swiftly and orderly to accomplish tasks in allotted time. Assure personal compliance with state and federal regulations including blood‑borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety. Assure personal compliance with resident rights. Follow safety procedures as stated in dietary service manual. Comply with schedule as established by Dietary Manager. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent related work experience. Experience in hospital or long‑term care facility dietary department preferred. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize. Annual influenza vaccine required. Primary Physical Requirements Lift up to 25 lbs: Constantly; lift 26 to 50 lbs: Occasionally. Carry up to 10 lbs: Constantly; carry 11 to 25 lbs: Frequently.
