Residential Hvac Service Technician

RESIDENTIAL HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN Full-time; on-call rotation may include evenings and weekends • Provide dependable residential HVAC service by accurately diagnosing equipment problems, completing repairs, and performing preventive maintenance. This role is designed for a field-experienced technician who can work independently, communicate professionally with homeowners, and help keep residential heating and cooling systems operating reliably. Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handlers. • Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and system cleaning. • Identify mechanical and electrical problems and determine appropriate repair solutions. • Complete service documentation and work orders while communicating clearly with homeowners and dispatch. • Maintain service tools and equipment and participate in the scheduled on-call rotation. 1–3 years of recent, hands-on residential HVAC service experience with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot systems independently; field experience is required. • must own and maintain the tools required for residential HVAC service work. • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor conditions. • EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT • Work involves residential heating and cooling equipment, electrical components, diagnostic meters, gauges, and standard HVAC service tools. • Field-based work at residential properties throughout the assigned service area. Technical or trade-school HVAC training combined with qualifying field experience. • Strong homeowner communication and service documentation skills.
