Department Manager

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. Responsibilities Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. Some managers also lead Departments, managing assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks, following up, and reporting results. The Guest Service Department Manager ensures Crew and Managers deliver excellent customer experience, oversee sales promotions, train service staff, and keep Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru areas organized for optimal service. The Kitchen Department Manager ensures the restaurant delivers high‑quality food quickly, maintains food safety and cost control, and trains kitchen staff on production procedures, including new menu items. The People Department Manager hires qualified crew, trains them, schedules to meet sales and profit goals, and recognizes and motivates staff throughout their tenure. Qualifications Previous managerial experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team player with flexible schedule and passion for fast‑paced service. Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in a corporate owned and operated restaurant.
