About the Position

Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP, SVE competency, C-Section circulation. 2+ years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery. Description: This position is for a backfill contract in the Labor and Delivery unit. It is a night shift role from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The schedule includes rotating weekends with no call requirements. The unit has 32 beds and a staff of 150. The staff structure includes 1 charge nurse and 1 co-charge nurse on each shift. Registered Nurses accommodate a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio. The unit utilizes equipment such as Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Permanent positions are available on the unit. Ideal candidates are team players with a positive attitude. Candidates must adhere to the attendance policy. Procedures performed on the unit include vaginal deliveries, cerclages, C-sections, and TOLAC. Candidates without the must-have skills will not be considered for the role. Preference will be given to candidates with internal monitor placement competency and previous experience in a Level IV unit.
