SUMMARY

The HR Representative aids with and facilitates human resource processes, with a strong emphasis on adaptability and professionalism. This position ensures positive employee relations and provides administrative support to HR functions as needed. Core responsibilities include onboarding and offboarding employees, training assistance, record‑keeping, file maintenance, time entry, and HRIS system updates. The role plays a vital part in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of HR operations and fostering a supportive workplace culture. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Essential Functions HRIS Management: Enter and maintain employee data in the Paycor HRIS system. Applicant Tracking: Use ATS to prescreen job applicants. Recruitment Support: Assist in conducting interviews. Employee Materials: Distribute uniforms and company identification badges. Orientation: Assist in delivering orientation sessions for new employees. Professionalism: Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters. Onboarding Tasks: Initiate background checks, guide employees through onboarding documentation, and address related inquiries. Employee Engagement: Support internal culture through assistance with employee giveaways and recognition initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of: Microsoft Office and similar productivity software. Administration of web-based platforms, including user workflows and permission settings. Relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ability to: Organize, be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and execute in a high‑volume environment. Strong ability to multitask and remain calm in emergencies. EXPERIENCE and TRAINING GUIDELINES Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Preferred Education and/or Experience: Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions: Office environment; exposure to computer screens. Working outdoors in various weather conditions and on uneven and/or slippery surfaces, as necessary, especially during Fair time and special events. Physical Conditions: Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining the physical condition necessary for: Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time. Moving short and long distances to access office supplies, meeting guests, perform duties within the Fairgrounds, etc. Verbally communicate with both internal and external contacts.
