Test Engineer, Camera and Sensing

We're looking for a Test Engineer to join the Spectacles team!What you’ll do:Define test and calibration methods for cameras and other optical sensors including algorithm development and test station hardware definitionDrive test station manufacturing with third-party vendorsSupport tester bring up in collaboration with our manufacturing partners, write and maintain tester documentation, and review GR&R dataTroubleshoot and debug test stations and test software and firmware releasesSupport failure analysis through review of test data in collaboration with the camera design engineersInternational travel up to 15% to support factory buildsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and/or C/C++Strong data analysis and visualization skills using tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLABStrong understanding of testing methodologies and standards for cameras and fundamental understanding of optical sensing technologiesKnowledge of standard quality methodologies such as GR&R and SPCMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related field3+ years of experience in testing of cameras or optical sensors for consumer electronicsAbility to travel internationally 15% of the timePreferred Qualifications:PhD or master’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or related fieldExperience developing and maintaining factory test and calibration stations for high-volume manufacturingExperience with camera calibration and test techniques for computer vision, sensor fusion, active and passive depth sensing, and/or biometric sensingExperience with robotics or instrument control automationIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
