It is a technical escalation and reliability role that sits at the intersection of Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations.What You'll DoEquipment Reliability & Advanced TroubleshootingAct as the technical escalation point for chronic, complex equipment issuesTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related failuresPerform in-depth machine evaluations and properly route corrective actions through Maintenance WOsTrack temporary fixes ("band-aids") and drive them to permanent countermeasuresIdentify design-driven failure modes and initiate corrective actionsEngineering Support & Continuous ImprovementSupport new equipment installs, upgrades, and validationsDesign, fabricate, assemble, and test proof-of-concept solutionsContribute hands-on solutions to CARs, RCAs, and reliability investigationsAnalyze downtime, failure trends, and equipment performance dataParticipate in Kaizen and CI initiatives across slitting and packagingStandards, Quality & DocumentationVerify correct components, hardware, and installation methodsReject sub-standard work and push for proper resolution—not workaroundsEnforce equipment and design standards; flag and correct deviationsDevelop and maintain troubleshooting guides and technical documentationGenerate clear technical summaries of issues, findings, and actionsFabrication, Design & Technical SupportFabricate and assemble mechanical or electro-mechanical componentsCreate and update CAD drawings for equipment modificationsSupport ancillary equipment, parts tracking, and replacement planningRead and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagramsWhat We're Looking ForRequired / Strongly Preferred5+ years as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting experience with automated production equipmentWorking knowledge of: mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatics, sensors, motors, and basic controlsAbility to read and interpret: electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, OEM documentationExperience with precision measurement tools and multimetersComfortable working independently on complex technical problemsPreferred (Not Required)Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environmentA.S. degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent hands-on experienceExposure to equipment upgrades, process improvements, or CI workFamiliarity with CAD or technical documentationSupport with 3D printing and maintain process-part inventoryExperience with reliability, root cause, or continuous improvement methodsEquivalent experience is valued over formal education.Who Thrives in This RoleSenior maintenance techs ready for a next-level technical roleProblem-solvers who want to fix issues permanently, not repeatedlyTechnicians who enjoy working with Engineering and OperationsIndividuals looking to expand influence, scope, and professional growthWhy This Is a Step UpExpanded technical authority and ownershipDirect impact on equipment reliability and design decisionsVisibility with Operations and Engineering leadershipOpportunity to shape standards, not just follow themA clear path beyond reactive maintenanceDNP IAM is a 100 percent U.S. subsidiary of Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd.
