Description

JOB SUMMARY: It is the function of the Clinician to render counseling and domestic abuse educational services to victims of domestic abuse and their families. The service is provided in groups, and individual counseling.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide intake assessments, individual and group counseling to clients
  • Maintain communication with clients
  • Provide client advocacy and referral services
  • Prepare and maintain client records including treatment plans
  • Write summaries and prepare statistics for quarterly and annual grant reporting
  • Possible supervision of graduate students
  • Oversee Affiliation Agreement process with outside agencies
  • Provide domestic violence training to professionals and affiliated agencies and social service organizations

OTHER DUTIES: as assigned

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in social work or related field. Critical thinker with good verbal and written skills. Domestic violence experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED: LSW, LCSW or LPC desired, Valid driver's license required.

MANDATED PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Providence House is a 24-hour residential program, as such requires staffing at all times. When accepting a position with this agency it is important to know that the regular shift at the time of hiring is subject to change during the course of your employment, and that at times of staff emergencies or special events you may be required to fill shifts other than (instead of) your regular shift. This may include holidays.
